+ Jesse Plemons - famous for both his role as Breaking Bad's Todd and looking a lot like a younger Philip Seymour Hoffman - is apparently being called back for Star Wars: Episode VII auditions, although Disney/Lucasfilm is keeping mum about it.
+ No one has been cast yet and it's due to begin production this summer, but because it's a Quentin Tarantino project, you can guarantee that it will be full of awesomesauce. Especially considering the name of the film is officially The Hateful Eight (for those who don't know, it's a reference to the famous 1960 western The Magnificient Seven).
+ Marvel has released details on its upcoming Ultimates project, which will apparently not feature one single white guy (yay!) - both leading male superheroes will be of a non-white background. Also more yayness: the All-New Ultimates will see FOUR female superheroes on the team.
+ Despite the meteoric success she's had starring in the Martin Scorsese black comedy The Wolf of Wall Street, Australian actress Margot Robbie says that she wants to be cast in a Quentin Tarantino film next.

Will Ferrell stole a bus while filming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The 46-year-old actor almost ended up behind bars after he hijacked the single-deck vehicle with his co-stars and whizzed around Atlanta, Georgia, the stunt attracted the attention of police who followed them around the city. "On a lunch break, we stole a city bus, and we were just driving it through the streets of Atlanta and the cops were chasing us. It was art imitating life. We were gone for four hours, and then we hopped out of the bus and said, 'Hey, it's us,' and everyone had a big laugh," he recalled.
Meanwhile, the funnyman admits he was surprised by Kanye West, who has a cameo appearance in the sequel, and his passion for comedy, and admired his creativity and dedication to his career: "That was really fascinating because he came on the set and he was the exact antithesis of what you thought he'd be. He was such a fan of comedy, he was almost reverential and quiet around us. He stayed for two days. He wanted to hang around the whole time, but he's probably the most prolific, creative person I've ever been around, because while he was off set he was on the phone talking about a photo shoot, he was writing down lyrics. His mind is constantly working."

Will Ferrell Talks Kanye West ‘Anchorman 2’ Cameo

Will Ferrell tried to keep Kanye West happy on the set of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The "Black Skinhead" makes a cameo appearance in the much-anticipated comedy sequel, and Will - who plays lead character Ron Burgundy in the movie - admitted his new co-star struggled to get to grips with the filming schedule. "He was playing [his new music] through the sound department, on the speakers on set, at the park, as people were setting up for the next shot. Which was great. But then he didn't understand when it had to be turned off, when it was time to actually film. He was like, 'Hey man, what's going on?' We didn't want Kanye to get upset, but at the same time, we kind of had to film," he told Rolling Stone.
As well as giving the crew a sneak peak of his tracks, Kanye also treated them to the occasional performance, which director Adam McKay described as hilarious: "I think it was 'New Slaves' - the really strident one. Whichever one gets off on a rant. He was like, 'You guys want to listen to some new tracks?' We're like, 'Yeah, sure!' Then he started performing, and it gets to the point where he's screaming. He goes a full 100-miles-an-hour. Then he'd turn off and go, 'Anyway, thanks.' It was hilarious."

If regular anti-piracy ads featuring real people working behind the camera don't convince you to avoid stealing entertainment, perhaps Anchorman 2's fictional Ron Burgandy (Will Ferrell) will.
In the latest trailer for the highly-anticipated sequel (seen above), Burgandy offers a special report regarding their "evening's entertainment." When he realizes that the announcement is referring to film, he becomes outraged over defending "that shimmering pretender to television's crown."
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues hits theaters December 20.

Getting Into Character: Ferrell and Applegate in ‘Anchorman 2’

Anchorman fans residing in New York City received a special treat this week, catching a glimpse of the film's sequel being shot in the streets - including a first look at Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate back in their '70's attire.
Though the Anchorman: The Legend Continues production has been spotted in Atlanta and New Orleans, these are the first photos taken from the set since its relocation to the Big Apple. Hopefully New Yorkers will be given the chance to see one (or more!) of the numerous A-list celebrities planned to appear in the comedy, including Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig, Kirsten Dunst, Sacha Baron Cohen, Vince Vaughn, Nicole Kidman, Liam Neeson, and more. If not, we'll just have to wait to see all of their cameos when the film hits theaters December 20.

Will Ferrell is the "Muhammad Ali of improv."
The comedian stars in Matt Piedmont's Casa de mi Padre, a Spanish language Mexican telenovela, and although the motion picture was a huge challenge for Will, the director says he rose to the occasion beautifully.
"For Will it was surely a Heart of Darkness in that he pulled off something almost impossible that surely caused him night sweats: having to act in a very specific Northern Mexican accent in a language he does not speak. He is the Muhammad Ali of improv and we tied one hand behind his back and threw him to the lions covered in barbeque sauce. For me it was pure joy and a grand psychedelic trip down a crazy rabbit hole, like being strapped to a rocket ship of love made of liquid lightning."
Will stars as the brother who must save his family's ranch from an evil, cigarette-smoking drug lord (Gael Garcia Bernal), and rescue his brother (Diego Luna) from a life of crime and Matt revealed he was delighted his feature film directorial debut was an R rated Spanish language satire.

Anchorman 2 to Start Filming in February 2013

Anchorman 2 will begin shooting in February 2013. After star Will Ferrell announced the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2004's Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy this week, writer/director Adam McKay took to his Twitter account to confirm the news and reveal a start date.
"A few people questioning if Anchorman 2 is 100% for sure happening. Let me assure and assuage: it is. We're writing now and we shoot in Feb (sic)" he wrote on his Twitter.
It has also been revealed that Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd will reprise their roles of Brick Tamland and Brian Fantana respectively in the sequel even though a deal was only reached with Paramount Pictures this week.

Will Ferrell Confirms Anchorman Sequel

Will Ferrell has confirmed an Anchorman sequel.
The first movie, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, was a huge hit when it was released in 2004 and after several rumors, the funnyman has finally revealed he will be reprising his role as the newscaster.
To announce the news, Will made a surprise appearance on TV show Conan, dressed as his alter-ego. "I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey, and the UK, including England, that as of 0900 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman," he told the audience.
The news was met with loud cheers from the excited crowd and he added, "It is official. There will be a sequel to Anchorman."
The first movie grossed over $90.5million at the box office. Last year, Will revealed he was desperate for an Anchorman sequel and urged the movie's fans to bombard Paramount Pictures with emails in the hope of getting one: "I urge you all to email Paramount and make this happen. We are all desperate to do it."

Ferrell and Wahlberg play die-hard fans from football-centric towns who lead rival teams in a tackle football game. Alec Baldwin will play Wahlberg’s father.
They had us at Will Ferrell, but the other stuff sounds pretty good, too.

Will Ferrell shows off his serious side in the trailer (above) for Everything Must Go, an indie flick in which the SNL actor plays Nick Halsey, a relapsed alcoholic. In a single day, Halsey loses his wife and his job -- hence the title.
Ferrell has proved that he’s leading man material in plenty of flicks, and he won critical acclaim for his toned-down, dramatic performance in Stranger Than Fiction (2006). Everything Must Go comes to theaters in May.
